The Skirball Cultural Center Presents a new art history series with John Paul Thornton. It's called "Quilting a Nation: The Quilt as Art in America"
The series begins Wednesday, January 18th and runs for six weeks from 10:30 am to noon. John Paul explores the Skirball exhibition "Fabric of a Nation," placing the amazing quilts in an art historical context. Guest artists present their art and techniques, and we will expand our awareness of quilting and fabric arts as a hallmark of creativity and a reflection of humanity.
