Artist/Historian John Paul Thornton presents a journey across time and culture, from the streets of Manhattan in New York, to the Holy Land of Israel. Join us on a visual adventure revealing the many ways art reflects community, hope and celebration.. This is part one of a special six-part series scheduled for 2023 and hosted by the Valley Jewish Community Center.

John Paul Thornton has dedicated his life to understanding and teaching about global art. As a painter himself, his art has taken him to the steps of the Lincoln memorial in Washington DC, the Himalayan refugee camps of Nepal, the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, and around the world. He has received awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the United Nations Foundation. For over a decade, his live art history presentations have reached thousands.
